Expert Insight: Labour Defence Policy

The Labour Party has clearly given considerable focus to restoring its reputation as being “strong on defence”. And, at a time of increasing international volatility, across several continents, Keir Starmer has made his commitment to support Ukraine, as well as the more recent activity in the Red Sea. But of equal importance is the attention that the Party will give to strengthening UK Defence; reforming procurement systems and prioritising welfare of personnel.
